CAFE Growers: Where Does CAFE Cannabis Come From?

Did you know that 340,000 Canadians are legally licensed to grow, cultivate, extract, and produce cannabis products?

Cumulatively there are over 160,000,000 square feet of private production spaces across the country.

At CAFE, we are proud to supply some of the finest cannabis available in the country. Here’s some insight into just a few of the growers we’ve encountered over the years.

(T.L.C) The Living-Soil Collective

(T.L.C) The Living-Soil Collective, is a collaboration of organic growers bringing cannabis to a new gold standard. T.L.C works closely with consumers, manufactures and distributors to keep up with current cannabis consumer demands. Not only do we have new and current strains, we also have our own in-house breeding and pheno-hunting projects that will keep us exclusive in your stash box!

We pride ourselves with sustainable growing practices by keeping our soil alive with beneficial bacteria and microbes thus creating LSO (Living Soil Organics) the soil is re-used after every cycle and re-amended with special blends of clean organic certified bi-products that would usually be wasted and left for landfills.

By cultivating with LSO, we’ve created our own terroir that will let the plants express themselves naturally, bringing out flavonoids and terpene profiles that traditional hydroponics and synthetic fertilizers will never match.

Rest assured, T.L.C is always values quality over quantity. We are connoisseur‘s and our craft is our pure passion. Let us bring a little T.L.C in to your life.

I am a Toronto-based entrepreneur with over 15 years of direct experience managing projects at increasing levels of depth and responsibility. Earlier in my career I worked in the financial services industry as a director for the largest Primerica Financial Services branch in Ontario.

In 2010, I co-founded the Great Canadian Roadshow, a company specializing in the buying and selling of precious metals. In this capacity, my co-founders and I built the corporation to over 65 employees and achieved gross annual revenues of $30 million.

Most recently, I co-founded Metropolis Farms in Toronto under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). Metropolis Farms is a cultivator of premium craft cannabis, grown in a large-scale hydroponic facility. I have provided consulting services for large-scale producers and applicants in the Canadian market, and have first-hand experience with compliance, planning, and designing under the ACMPR.

Since the beginning, my process has been very grassroots, nourished by a team of individuals who are personally invested in the kind of growth and knowledge that comes from working with someone like myself. I’ve avoided the complicated high quantity production side of things, I have no interest in automation. The way I see it, you can’t duplicate me or my knowledge and, most importantly, you can’t recreate what I’ve gone through and lived through so my life experiences have shaped me as a grower and I believe that makes my product unique.

I have been working with cannabis for nearly 20 years, experience that stemmed from a desire to see more women in the industry and from a passion for the plant as a whole.

Post-legalization, I am proud to finally be seen as a businesswoman. I came into this industry not knowing what I was doing. I learned as I went, I learned out of necessity. I was a single mother and I had to make something work.
