CAFE x Carry Toronto: Legendary Dance Parties with a Twist of Cannabis

The past couple of weeks have been a truly exciting time at CAFE. Following Easter celebrations, we delved right in to several super fun events as part of our month long 420 celebrations. One of these was an absolutely legendary ballroom dance event hosted by Carry Toronto. This local organization hosts regular parties and dance events, at which many attendees are from the LGBTQ+ community. Carry Toronto provides a safe space for all people, while giving them a chance to express themselves with creativity and no inhibitions.

CAFE is proud to have partnered with Carry Toronto for their April event! All parties take place at a private venue where smoking cannabis is permitted. Naturally, CAFE was on hand to provide party-goers with everything they might need for a perfect night. We set up a small booth in the back, and interacted with many people that were delighted to find their favourite pre-rolls, edibles and dried flower available right at the party!

The event started fashionably late around 11pm. Party goers settled themselves in a semi-circle around the dance floor, awaiting the night’s performances. The show MC took the mic and called out the different categories, to which dancers responded to by strutting out onto the floor and voguing their best moves. We saw lots of talent that night!
