CAFE and Smokes & Jokes present a monthly night of live standup comedy – and our February show took place just last weekend! The show is held at Toronto’s classic Comedy Bar on Bloor St, located just across from our CAFE dispensary at 932 Bloor St. Smokes & Jokes is proud to be the only comedy show with an established in house “residence” at this storied venue. We love being a part of Toronto’s arts community and so do our show goers – we see a full house every single time.
The night kicked off at 7pm to a full house. Seats filled up quickly – the venue was packed with comedy enthusiasts, many who have attended our shows before and keep coming back! Guests took their place and settled in as our show’s MC Angelica Scannura took to the stage. Angelica’s quirky sense of humour quickly won over the crowd, and guests settled in for a fun night of comedy.
Our MC got the crowd warmed up and ready for an amazing night of cannabis-centric comedy! We saw hilarious performances by Ronen, Ryan Hillis, Leny Corrado and more.
Shows at the Comedy Bar take place in a small, intimate space, and our shows are usually sold out, meaning every seat in the room is taken. In order to make things easier for guests, the venue places QR codes at each table, including wifi details – so guests may access the bar’s menu and place orders for drinks and light snacks directly on their phones by scanning the app. There is no need to get up from one’s seat multiple times to visit the bar – a quick order placed on the phone ensures a quick, easy transaction and a server bringing the drinks to your table.
