Each month, CAFE and Smokes & Jokes team up to present a night of stand-up comedy at Toronto’s Comedy Bar. The Comedy Bar is directly across the street from our 932 Bloor St dispensary location – quite convenient for those cannabis lovers looking to have a puff before the show! Indeed, Smokes & Jokes is based around cannabis-centric comedy, and we find that many of our show goers like to smoke a joint or hit the vape outside before coming in to enjoy the show. We’ve even had some audience members tell us they just did edibles – now, that would make for quite the enjoyable night!
The show was kicked off by Ryan Hillis, and guests were immediately launched into fits of laughter. The fun escalated when Ryan pulled up the first of the night’s giveaways – a tin of premium prerolls, and a tin of pre-packed fresh flower from the night’s sponsor – Smokes & Jokes!
The night was a huge success, with each comedian sending the audience into fits of giggles. The talented lineup included Andrew Packer, Cathy Boyd, Abbas Wahab and Nigel Grinstead as headliner.
All in all, the night was a great success! Thank you to all our amazing comedians, and our show attendees for making it a night to remember. We can’t wait for July’s show!
