4/20 in Toronto is always a celebration, but this year at CAFE, we took things to another dimension.
As part of our annual 420 festivities, we hosted our very first Glow-in-the-Dark Puff & Paint Night and the result was nothing short of electric. With black lights illuminating the room, vibrant colours popping off every canvas, and a full house of guests ready to create, the night quickly turned into one of the most unique events we’ve ever hosted.

The session was led by our incredible resident artist, Ashante, whose warm guidance and step-by-step teaching style made the night welcoming for both experienced painters and first-timers. With the room decked out in black lights – a surreal glow was cast across every surface. Neon paints came alive, colours shifted under the light, and each brushstroke felt a little more immersive than usual. The result was a fully out-of-this-world atmosphere that elevated the entire experience.

The Night Begins
Guests arrived and were welcomed into a space that felt completely different from anything we’ve done before. Easels, canvases, and paint supplies were set up at each station, ready to go. And of course, each guest was treated to a CAFE house roll to get the creative energy flowing. As always, Puff & Paint at CAFE is a cannabis-friendly experience, where guests are free to enjoy their favourite weed products throughout the session while working on their artwork.
Once everyone was settled, our host Ashante walked the group through the painting process, offering guidance, techniques, and just enough structure to get everyone started without limiting their creativity.

To keep spirits high (literally and figuratively), we stocked the event with chips and water, so guests could snack between brush strokes. Every attendee also received a goodie bag packed with exciting products from our generous sponsors, adding even more delight to an already magical evening.

A Surreal Creative Experience
As the lights dimmed and the black lights took over, the room transformed. Neon colours glowed against the dark, paintings began to take on a life of their own, and the entire space felt immersive in a way that was hard to describe. It was equal parts art class and visual experience.
Music played in the background as guests settled into their flow, chatting, laughing, and puffing while bringing their pieces to life. What started as a blank canvas quickly turned into a collection of vibrant, glowing artworks, each one completely unique.

At its core, Puff & Paint is about more than just painting. It is about creating a space where people can relax, connect, and express themselves freely. Cannabis has long been associated with creativity, helping people loosen up, think differently, and explore new ideas. Events like this bring that connection to life in a tangible way, giving guests the opportunity to tap into that creative energy in a welcoming environment.
Seeing a room full of people completely immersed in their work, glowing canvases in front of them, was something special.

A huge thank you to Ashante, supporting brands, and everyone who came out to celebrate 420, creativity and cannabis with us. Puff & Paint nights continue to be one of our community’s favourite events, and this glowy edition was no exception.
Stay tuned for our next session!
