March 17 is well known for four-leaf clovers and packed pubs filled with friends enjoying green beer as everyone comes out to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. At CAFE, we’ve coined a new tradition that we proudly celebrate annually on this day – St. Potty’s Day! Every year on March 17, we enjoy all our favourite greens, and invite our patrons and our community to partake in the celebrations with us!
Each of our five dispensaries, located in the heart of Toronto, gets into the St. Potty’s Day spirit, with vibrant decorations, delicious green drinks and of course, lots of fun green goodies. Our infamous CAFE Leprechaun makes his way to each store throughout the day to say hello to our wonderful customers and gift them with a little treat from his pot of gold.
This March 17, although chilly, we enjoyed a bright and sunny day. Our Leprechaun was eager and excited to visit all of our CAFE locations, and began his rounds early in the afternoon. Our staff loved seeing him again this year, as did all of our customers. Many were meeting him for the first time, while our regulars fondly recalled celebrating with him last year. We let our community know via posters and socials that meeting the lucky Leprechaun came with a special treat, and we had so many people follow his itinerary to track him down. He was distributing goodies from one of our vendors, Golden Grams at every location, and so everyone who came looking for him received a lucky Golden Gram!
The day was filled with lots of fun and positive vibes for all those who came out. We chatted with guests, took pictures, served tasty drinks and just had a wonderful time all around. We are so happy that our CAFE community has embraced our twist on St. Patrick’s Day, and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone again next year!
