As the holiday season draws near, we look forward to a time of togetherness, generosity and celebration. But for many Canadians, the challenges of recent years continue to weigh heavily, making community support more important than ever. With food insecurity affecting a growing number of households, food banks are facing unprecedented demand as families struggle to make ends meet.
At CAFE, community has always been at the heart of what we do. Through our events, initiatives and charitable efforts, we aim to create meaningful impact and uplift those around us. This year, we’re proud to host our 9th Annual Holiday Food Drive — an initiative focused on raising awareness of food insecurity and collecting donations in support of some incredible local organizations: SPA FY Community Care and Fort York Food Bank.
This year, our Holiday Food Drive runs from November 01 through 30, 2026. Each of our six downtown CAFE dispensary locations will feature a large bin, where our patrons and community members may drop off non-perishable food items for donation. CAFE will match all donations collected, and aim to drop off all food to our local community partners just in time for the holidays. This year, our goal is 1000lb of food collected. We will also be matching ALL DONATIONS!
