At CAFE, we have never been ones to celebrate things the ordinary way, and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception. Each year, we put our own spin on the holiday with St. Potty’s Day, a cannabis-forward celebration of all things green. Once again, it brought energy, excitement, and plenty of smiles across all our locations.
The highlight of the day was the long-awaited return of our Lucky Leprechaun.
A true CAFE tradition, our legendary little visitor made his rounds across the city, popping into each location to surprise guests, pose for photos, and spread a bit of luck along the way. For many, spotting the Leprechaun has become a yearly ritual. Some guests even plan their visits around his appearance, hoping to catch him in action. This year, the excitement was just as strong.
Each store was filled with festive energy, with guests coming in throughout the day hoping their timing would line up perfectly. When the Leprechaun arrived, the atmosphere shifted instantly. Laughter filled the space, conversations picked up, and phones came out as people gathered to meet him. These are the kinds of moments that turn an everyday visit into something memorable.
Of course, no Leprechaun visit would be complete without a little treasure.
True to form, our Lucky Leprechaun came bearing gifts, handing out “golden” goodies in the form of premium cannabis flower. It is our version of green gold. This has become one of the most anticipated parts of the day, and for good reason. There is something about receiving a surprise nug straight from the Leprechaun himself that makes the experience even more special.
St. Potty’s Day at CAFE has always been about more than just the novelty. It is about creating a shared experience. While traditional celebrations often revolve around alcohol, we have built something that feels uniquely ours. It is a space where cannabis, community, and culture come together in a fun and approachable way.
This St. Potty’s Day was a little extra special – our celebration marked 6 years in a row of lucky Irish festivities. On arrival at CAFE Harbord, the Leprechaun got to blow out a candle and make a wish!
Throughout the day, guests connected with staff, chatted with one another, and fully embraced the atmosphere. Some stopped by for their usual coffee and stayed for the festivities. Others made a special trip just for the occasion. No matter the reason, the sense of community was clear.
Events like St. Potty’s Day are a reminder of what makes CAFE special. It is not just about what we offer, but how people feel when they walk through our doors. The mix of cannabis, creativity, and connection creates moments that go beyond a simple visit and turn into lasting memories.
